At Dancing Bear Farm we believe in working with nature to grow our crops. While we have chosen to no longer pursue organic certification, we have always grown with organic methods, and always will.
I am Tom Ashley, the farmer. Along with a seasonal helper, I do the field prep, seeding, picking, packing and marketing
My wife, Trish Crapo, in addition to her moral support, helps out with the marketing and drives truckloads of plants into Boston. She'll also be taking photographs for use here and in our printed material.
Our daughters, Kate (on right) and Liza, have helped in various ways throughout the years. Both have been known to pull weeds, pick berries, harvest tomatoes and join me at farmers' markets.
